Three teams captured Hawai'i ASA State Tournament titles last weekend at the Patsy T. Mink Central O'ahu Regional Park.

In the 18-under A division final, Ho'onou defeated Pearls II, 9-1; in the 18-under B division, Hawai'i RBI beat Na Pa'ani, 3-2; and in the 16-under A division, Guava Jam beat Kolohe, 11-3.

Ho'onou, after dropping its first game, reeled off eight consecutive victories — including six on the final day Sunday — to capture the state championship.

Makani Duhaylonsod pitched in four of the Sunday games for Ho'onou, while Kishti Kamaka pitched the team to victory in the championship contest.

In the final game, Amber Kamaka went 4 for 4 and Kori Nishitomi went 3 for 4 for Ho'onou.

Ho'onou left yesterday to play in the Colorado Sparklers tournament in Westminster, Colo.

All of the teams in the state tournament are from O'ahu, except for Hawai'i RBI, which is from Hilo.
