Auwe! Tomorrow's Father's Day and still no gift for dear old Dad? Fear not, we're here to help with a list of last-minute gifts.

GREEN GADGET DAD

If Dad is a gadget kind of guy, the Solio Solar Charger is sure to be a big hit. It's a portable charger that captures solar energy and can attach with an adapter to many cell phones, hand-held computers, game consoles, music players or GPS systems. It can take as little as an hour to recharge a device. On a sunny day (and we have plenty of those) it can take about 10 hours to fill Solio's lithium-ion battery. It sells for $99 at www.solio.com.

If that's too steep, try sneaking his iPod away for a few hours so you can program it with songs that have special meaning for the two of you. What was that lullaby he used to sing when you were little?

GOLFER DAD

The latest lust-after gift in golf is the "rescue club," a hybrid utility wood said to combine the best of woods and irons. Most golf companies make them, but Taylor Made ($180-$200) and Cleveland Halo ($120) are the hottest among Honolulu golfers. At Pro Am and Roots and Relics, rescue clubs from various makers sell for $89-$200.

WELL-GROOMED DAD

OK, so maybe he's not an admitted metrosexual, but if dad likes to be well-groomed, there are plenty of gifts for him at a wide range of prices. If you live on the Windward side, you don't even have to drive over the Pali; Lanikai Bath & Body has a collection called Pohaku ($15.50-$22.50) that's a subtle scent for men as well as Buddha Surf Unzented shampoo ($13.50).

L'Occitane, the Provence company that recently opened in Ala Moana Center, has a shea butter collection men love. The hand cream ($25) and lip balm SPF 15 ($12) are faves.

Origins, also in Ala Moana Center, offers a men's travel kit ($29.50) as well as Dr. Andrew Weil skin care and supplements ($35-65) he may have seen on "Oprah." Well, maybe not.

STRESSED-OUT DAD

While most dads would love a massage, scheduling one is not something they will usually do for themselves. And, let's face it, Dad may not be comfortable in a girly spa environment.

Moku Ola in the Koko Marina Shopping Center offers traditional lomilomi massage in a relaxed, Hawaiian-style setting. It's all forest green and earth tones, accented with tropical blooms from auntie's yard in Hau'ula.

Massages and body treatments range from $15 to $200. There's a kama'aina special on now — a Lomi Ola 75-minute massage for $60. A gift certificate can be arranged for you today.

FOR FREE

Flat broke? Can't even afford a small gift? Give him a gift certificate for a service he will appreciate later on, such as a car wash, help with the garden or a household chore. You can just write it out by hand or print up an official-looking certificate on a computer.

Or take him to the Outrigger Waikiki Swatch Store before 5 p.m. Today's the last day he'll have a chance to win a Swatch Irony Chronograph watch and free round of golf. Dad will answer five questions about himself and you answer the same set of questions about your dad. You may be surprised how well you know him — or not.
