Need forms, information and other help with your Hawaii taxes?
CD-ROM. The 2000 state tax information is available on a CD-ROM for $15. It includes a number of resource materials including Hawaiis tax statutes and administrative rules, publications, brochures, monthly tax-collection reports and most 1995 through 2000 income tax forms. Available by calling the forms request line at 587-7572 (toll-free 1-800-222-7572) to request an order form.
By mail. Forms can be obtained by mail by calling 24 hours a day, 587-7572 on Oahu, or toll-free from the Neighbor Islands and Mainland at 1-800-222-7572. Forms are usually mailed within five working days.
By fax. Most of the commonly requested income, general excise, transient accommodations and employers withholding tax forms can be faxed within 24 hours of a request. On Oahu call 587-7572. Outside Oahu call 808-678-0522 from your fax machine.
Web site. The Department of Taxation Web site provides a variety of information including most Hawaii tax forms, publications, brochures, monthly tax collection reports, a list of Hawaii revised statutes and administrative rules, tax information releases and answers to frequently asked questions. www.state.hi.us/tax
By phone. Recorded tax updates offer news, refund processing information and publications issued. Call Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs recorded information service, "Consumer Dial," at 587-1234, message 7700.
Offices. All district tax offices can answer questions, provide tax forms and perform other services from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
