Woman sought in Waikiki car break-ins

Advertiser Staff

Authorities need the public’s help in finding a 20-year-old woman who is wanted for a traffic arrest warrant and is a suspect in other crimes.

Lokelani Tynan is also a suspect in a forgery case.
Police said Lokelani Tynan is wanted for questioning in a series of car break-ins that occurred Wednesday in Waikiki between 2 and 7 p.m.

The cars were broken into at the Island Colony Hotel parking lot, the IMAX Theater parking lot and the Sheraton Hotel parking lot.

Police said Tynan also is wanted for questioning in a forgery case in which she allegedly attempted to cash a stolen business check under the alias Keolani Kaipo Tynan. She has recently attempted to open a new account with stolen checks using this alias, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
