Tell us: How do you keep the fire burning?

Advertiser Staff

With Valentine’s Day just a few weeks away and romance in the air, we’d like you to tell us about the big and little things you and your partner do to keep each other in love.

Time can snuff out the giddy feelings that flared when you first became enamored of each other. But maybe you keep your love smoldering by sending each other flowers, or leaving love notes even when there is no special occasion. Maybe you have private rituals: You kiss good night without fail, and you wink at each other at parties.

Maybe you’ve started sending the kids to grandma’s so the two of you can have Saturday night dates, or you’ve deepened your relationship by going to church, taking a class or developing a new hobby together.

Or, perhaps you have a tale to tell about how the two of you pulled your relationship back from the edge and turned it around.

Whatever your story, won’t you help other couples enrich their relationships by sharing it? What is the most romantic or helpful thing you’ve done to improve or maintain your relationship?

Write: Keep the Fire Burning, Ohana Section, The Honolulu Advertiser, P.O. Box 3110, Honolulu, HI 96802; e-mail ohana@honoluluadvertiser.com; fax 535-8170.

Please include your name, city and telephone number. And don’t wait too long to respond — letters must be received by Jan. 31.
