Maui Youth and Family Services announced the promotions of James A. Wright to program director for residential programs and Renee Miller to executive assistant.

Lava.Net has named Paul Lemcke to its board of directors. Lemcke is a business banking officer at City Bank.

Bruce Moore has been promoted to development manager at Waikoloa Beach Resort, Kohala Coast, Big Island. Moore previously was project manager for Waikoloa Beach Resort’s Kings’ Shops.

The Westin Maui announced the following appointments: Troy Taylor as food and beverage outlet manager; Derek Ikawa as assistant banquet manager; Anthony Dawson as restaurant manager for "tropica" restaurant; and Kerri O’Connell, as outlet manager for "tropica."

PRM Realty Group LLC appointed Lisa Nuyen director of sales and marketing for the residential development at Maluhia, Wailea, Maui.

Debbie Hogan recently was promoted to director of sales at Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island. Hogan was one of four winners of the Hilton Hotels Corporation "Circle of Excellence Award" for 1999.

Vance Fujishige has joined Kraft Foods Hawaii as a retail sales representative for accounts on Maui and Oahu.

TeamPraxisSM, an application service provider for physicians, appointed Susan L. Gibson Redpath as director of business development.

Kaanapali Beach Resort Association named Shelley Kekuna director of marketing and Lynn Erfer as resort representative. They will be promoting Kaanapali, Maui, as a vacation and business destination.

Hawaii Aloha Chapter of Certified Residential Specialists named its 2001 board of directors: president, Wendell M. Y. Wong; immediate past president, Nancy D. Metcalf; president-elect/first vice president, Judy Kalbrener; secretary, Ann M. Arakawa; and treasurer, Mark Allen DeCastro.

Tom Nauwelaerts has been named account coordinator at Yesawich, Pepperdine & Brown/Pacific. He will work on the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts and Atlantic Adventures accounts.

Nishihama & Kishida CPAs Inc. appointed Alton Miyashiro as managing principal. Miyashiro, a graduate of Iolani School and University of Hawaii-Manoa, will oversee the management of the practice.

Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific recently added Dr. Ming-Zu (Jack) Hsieh and Dr. Dwight Lin to its medical team at the Nuuanu location. Garrison Stern replaces Catherine Koike as clinic supervisor on REHAB at Maui. Koike has moved to Oahu and is clinic supervisor for REHAB at the Queen’s Medical Center. Also joining the Maui team are Matt Harman and Elsie Wilson as physical therapists. At REHAB at Hilo, Anne Carlson is now recognized as a certified hand therapist.

Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort has appointed Dietmar Salat to director of food and beverage, Salah Ihsan to director of finance, and Janette R. Goodman to director of human resources.

Wesley Fong recently was elected chairman of the board of directors of the Hawaii Arthritis Foundation. Fong is an attorney and currently president of the Hawaii Chinese Civic Association. He is retired Supervising Deputy Attorney General for the state of Hawaii. Also serving as officers are 2002 chair, Karen Lee and past chair, Brain Macnish.

Executive Women International, Honolulu Chapter, elected new officers and directors for 2001: president, Julie Loo of Sheraton Waikiki Hotel; vice-president/president-elect, Cathy Iwai of Pearl City Nursing Home; secretary, Joanne Watase-Yang of Title Guaranty Escrow Services; and treasurer, Estelle Hayashi of IBM Corp.

Us Guys Builders LLC of Kauai has added Robert Bentley, R.M.E. as general engineering, roofing and painting contractor. Bentley will manage all projects statewide and in the Pacific Basin region.

The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards appointed Roberta Lee-Driscoll, CFP of Honolulu, to a one-year term as an associate member of their Board of Professional Review. Lee-Driscoll is a member of the Hawaii Estate Planning Council and is chairman of the Securities Industry Association Hawaii Chapter.

The Mental Health Association in Hawaii has named Kaanoi Kaapana as public education assistant and Nicole Matsukawa as program assistant.

Stacy L. Sur has been appointed vice president of the Hawaii Investors for Affordable Housing, Inc. and Hawaii Administrative Partner, Inc.

Erik Y. Kajiwara has joined Hawaii Community Reinvestment Corporation as a financial analyst.
