Tell us your tips for the care and feeding of romance

Advertiser Staff

Last call to couples: Tomorrow is the deadline to write to The Advertiser about the things you and your partner do to keep each other in love.

With Valentine’s Day just a few weeks away and romance in the air, we’re looking for couples to share their secrets for keeping the fire burning.

Time can snuff out the giddy feelings that flared when you first became enamored of each other. But maybe you still send flowers, leave love notes or have your little traditions. Maybe you’ve started sending the kids to the sitter’s so the two of you can have Saturday night dates. Perhaps you’ve deepened your relationship by going to church, taking a class or developing a new hobby together.

Or perhaps you have a tale to tell about how the two of you pulled your relationship back from the edge.

Whatever your story, won’t you help other couples enrich their relationships by sharing it? What is the most helpful or romantic thing you’ve done to improve or maintain your relationship?

Write: Keep the Fire Burning, Ohana Section, The Honolulu Advertiser, P.O. Box 3110, Honolulu, HI 96802; e-mail ohana@honoluluadvertiser.com; fax 535-8170. Please include your name, city and telephone number.
