Michael G. Wright has joined A&B Properties Inc., a subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin Inc., as vice president. Wright, formerly senior vice president of GE Capital Hawaii, will be responsible for A&B’s strategy for growth through real estate acquisitions and investments.

Bryan P. Andaya has been elected president of the Honolulu Filipino Junior Chamber of Commerce. Russell C. Pascua and Aldrin M. Villahermosa were elected executive vice president and chairman of the board, respectively. Elected as vice presidents were Kenneth Ancheta, Melvin Llamas, Bobby Agpaoa, Joe Becker, Candice Fajardo and Les Costales. Also elected were Elena Lactaoen, secretary; Richard C. Nono, newsletter secretary and Ami Villahermosa, treasurer.

Caroline Tollefson and Trudy Schandler-Wong have been named co-chairwomen of the fourth annual (Honolulu) Symphony Ball, overseeing the 28 committees and more than 100 volunteers involved in the fund-raiser. Tollefson is a former United Airlines customer service manager and has headed the Miss Hawaii scholarship program for 10 years. Schandler-Wong has worked with Honolulu Symphony Associates, the symphony youth concerts, American Cancer Society, Girl Scout Council of the Pacific and Friends of East-West Center.

Jessi M. Holguin, former assistant store manager of Home Depot’s Iwilei store on Oahu, has been named to head the chain’s new Maui location, overseeing hiring, training and merchandising, for a planned late-spring opening. In addition to Holguin, 11 department supervisors from the Iwilei location will transfer to the Maui location.

Kenneth H. Dillingham Jr. has joined the San Diego County office of Anderson & Kriger, a Southern California full-service construction defect and homeowners association law firm. Dillingham was previously in private practice.

Gary Q. L. Yee, former director of the city’s Department of Design and Construction, has been named senior project manager for SSFM International Inc., a 50-member project management, engineering, planning and management services firm. The company has offices in Honolulu, on Maui and the Big Island and in the Northern Marianas.

John M. Shrewsbury has joined the Hawaii office of Washington Group International Inc. (formerly Morrison Knudsen, Raytheon Engineers and Constructors and Westinghouse Government Services) as Western region business project manager. He will be responsible for an area that includes the West Coast, Hawaii, Guam and Micronesia. He was formerly a Maryl Pacific Constructors senior project manager.

Architect Charles Y. Kaneshiro has been named an associate at architectural firm Group 70 International Inc., with an interest in educational facilities and technology.

Mitchell A. Imanaka, managing principal of Dwyer Imanaka Schraff Kudo Meyer & Fujimoto Hawaii law firm, has joined the 164-member International Society of Hospitality Consultants. Members include senior partners from major hospitality consulting firms, as well as private entrepreneurial consultants.

Thomas J. Oh has been named chief financial officer of RFJO Corp., doing business as the women’s and girl’s clothing boutique chain, Cinnamon Girl. He is a 14-year veteran of Bank of Hawaii, including vice president and commercial banking officer at the Ala Moana Commercial Banking Center.

Thomas J. Harper, former general manager of Loomis, Fargo & Co., has been promoted to regional manager of the armored car service, overseeing offices on Oahu, Maui and Kauai, and in Kona and Hilo.

Dr. Clyde Hideo Ishii Jr. was elected president, and Dr. Whitney M.L. Limm, president-elect, of the Hawaii chapter of the American College of Surgeons.

Judy Dobovan has taken over responsibility for sales to hotel, amenity and special market accounts for Booklines Hawaii, supplier of Hawaiian books, videos, music and gifts.
