MAREN-CHRISTINE K. ANDRESEN, 47, of Tacoma, Wash., died Feb. 24, 2001. Born in Honolulu. Survived by sons, Brooks Revera and Mark Nalewaja; daughters, Jessica Revera and Laura Ruth Newman; mother, Matilda; brothers, Ivnis and Alexander; sisters, Matilda Hindbaugh, Kim Lani Nalewaja, Darlee-Ruth Motosue, Machelle Tamale and Martha Yamamoto. YSMAEL E. BAQUIEL SR., 77, of Ho-nolulu, died March 11, 2001. Born in the Philippines. A retired Security Diamond engraver. Survived by wife, Irenea; sons, Michael and Ysmael Jr.; daughter, Irene Czapala; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Nuuanu Mortuary; prayer service 7 p.m. Cremation to follow.

ELOYSE ROSS EWELL, 94, of Honolulu, died March 9, 2001. Born in Texas. Survived by son, Alan, and a grandchild. Visitation 11 a.m. to noon Friday at Borthwick Mortuary.; service 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.

REGINE ULULANI GRACE, 49, of Las Vegas, died March 9, 2001. Born in Honolulu. A convenience store cashier. Survived by sons, Lloyd Jr., Llewellyn and Sterling; daughters, Shawn Grace and Rozllyn Mejia; mother, Maile Kaaiakamanu; sister, Tracy Kaaiakamanu; seven grandchildren. Visitation 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow at Palm Mortuary-Eastern, Las Vegas; service 2 p.m.

CANDIDO OPELAC GUELGUEL, 92, of Hilo, Hawaii, died March 5, 2001. Born in the Philippines. A retired Hamakua Sugar Co. seed planter. Survived by wife, Leonila "Nelly"; son, Shane; daughter, Hazel and mother-in-law, Flora DaQuep. Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Glad Tidings Church; Rosary 7 p.m. Visitation also 10 a.m. to noon Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church; Mass 12:15 p.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. TADASHI HATTORI, 91, of Kaneohe, died March 2, 2001. Born in Ewa. A retired carpenter. ISABELLE RUTHIA KALANI, 88, of Honolulu, died Feb. 28, 2001. Born in Honolulu. A homemaker. CARL B. LANGE, 68, of Orange, Texas, formerly of Honolulu, died March 6, 2001. Survived by son, Scott; daughters, Carla Dee Mendes and Carleen Jale; sisters, Shirley Larson, Beverly Brunn and Peggy Kuhnke; eight grandchildren. BENITO LAPENA LOCQUIAO, 91, of Ewa Beach, died Feb. 17, 2001. Born in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines. Retired Waipahu Intermediate School custodian. Survived by wife, Judie; sons, Ben, Jerry, Michael and David; daughter, Benita Locquiao; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. HERBERT SHIGERU MATSUMURA, 73, of Waipahu, died March 2, 2001. Retired Hickam Air Force Base aircraft mechanic. Born in Honolulu. Survived by wife, Janet; daughter, Ivy; sisters, Hatsumo Nakamoto, Hatsuyo "Leatrice" Kamihara, Gladys "Nancy" Yamamoto, Florence Yoneshige and Yuriko "Lily" Uemura. KANAME MATSUO, 89, of Hilo, Hawaii, died March 5, 2001. Born in Papaikou, Hawaii. Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation yard maintenance employee. Survived by son, Erle; daughter, Jeanette Ogata; sister, Kimiko Sugihara; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Private service. No koden (monetary contributions). DORRIE LYNN "HONEY GIRL" HUAPALA-KAIMANA CHIEKO NAKAGAWA, 41, of Mililani, formerly of Kunia, died Feb. 27, 2001. Born in Wahiawa. Mililani Town Association special events coordinator. Survived by daughters, Maelia Carter and Lauren; sons, Jeffrey, Henry, Bruce and Scott; biological mother, Lani Apana; brothers, William and Collins Apana; sister, Billielani Smith; significant other, Wayne Hayashi; seven grandchildren; hanai son, Patrick O’Brien; hanai daughters, MaryAnne O’Brien, Leda Brysha, and April. JOSEPH AGRIPINO SUAN, 85, of Mililani, died March 6, 2001. Retired fuel distribution systems operator at Barbers Point; assistant coordinator, Olaloa Retirement Community; merchant seaman. Survived by daughters, Judith Davis and Jennifer "Jen" Suan-Magbanua; sisters, Julie Macadangdang, Josephine Grace, Marion Cui and MaryAnn Tozon; brothers, Apolenario and Ciriaco; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. THOMAS YOSHIICHI TAKEUCHI, 74, of Pearl City, died Feb. 24, 2001. A retired Department of Defense employee. Survived by daughters, Elizabeth Takeuchi, Judy Fatourchi and Irene Takeuchi; sisters, Helen Mukai, Florence Tsuruma, Rose Oda and Alice Okubo; brother, Francis; two grandchildren.
