Waldorf High has Spirit
The senior class of the Honolulu Waldorf High School will perform "Blithe Spirit" by Noel Coward at 7 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the schools Niu Valley campus, 350 Ulua St.
The play by Coward, a British playwright, actor and composer, is his most popular work. The senior class play is a tradition at the school. The play is directed by Eden-Lee Murray, a winner of several Pookela awards.

Witnesses of hit-run sought
Police are seeking witnesses to a possible hit-and-run accident yesterday that left a 14-year-old Pearl City girl lying injured in the road near Pohakea Elementary School in Ewa Beach.
A city bus driver found the girl shortly before 5:30 a.m. in a crosswalk in the middle of Fort Weaver Road near North Road, said fire Capt. Robert Ludwick of the Ewa Beach station.
Her head and one leg were injured and she could not explain what had happened, Ludwick said.
The girl was taken to St. Francis Medical Center-West in serious condition but was released before noon yesterday.
Police say a white pickup truck may have been involved.
Claymation to be displayed
Kapolei Elementary School will hold a Claymation Festival at 6 p.m. Friday in the school cafeteria.
Claymation is a style of filmmaking using clay figures and stop-action techniques to tell a story. Students from nine classes wrote their own stories and made the clay figures for the films.
One film, "The First Polynesians," tells the story of ancient people sailing to an unexplored island and searching for food.

Crash victim hospitalized
A 25-year-old Schofield Barracks dental hygienist remains in guarded condition at the Queens Medical Center after being injured in a two-vehicle accident about 4:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Santos Dumont Avenue and Kamehameha Highway in front of Wheeler Army Air Field.
A car driven by Spec. Brandie L. Entrekin of Virginia Beach, Va., assigned to Company C, 725 Main Support Battalion, 25th Infantry Division (Light) and U.S. Army Hawaii, collided with an Army truck at the intersection.
Army plans Makua sessions
Three focus meetings have been scheduled by the Army to address concerns raised during the public comment period for its supplemental environmental assessment concerning Makua Military Reservation.
The meetings will be:
Sunday, 3 p.m.: This meeting will cover environmental concerns, to include fire prevention and the care of the valleys endangered plants and animals.
March 24, 8 a.m.: This meeting will focus on community-related issues, including convoys along the Leeward Coast and the importance of the Pililaau Range complex to the Army.
March 25, 3 p.m.: This meeting will cover cultural issues, to include addressing access to Makua for Native Hawaiians.
All meetings are public and will be held at the Waianae District Park Multi-Purpose Center.

Park for dogs opens Monday
The reopening of the Hawaiian Humane Societys McInerny Dog Park has been delayed until Monday.
The society wanted to ensure that new sod installed recently had a chance to take root and so put off the reopening, according to Eve Holt, director of community relations.
During the closure, which began Feb. 26, the parks drainage system also was improved.
The society describes the park as a place for dogs and their humans to romp, roam and reflect.
Hours are noon to 8 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends and holidays.
Memorial dedication set
The Seabee Memorial will be dedicated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
The Seabee Memorial at Punchbowl Committee invites all Seabees and the public. The ceremony will include guest speakers, a Hawaiian blessing and a 21-gun salute.
