The junior goalkeeper was one of 186 college athletes honored from 80 schools.
Brown helped Creighton to advance to the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight, where it lost to St. John's, 3-2.
Men's wrestling
Cornell junior Travis Lee (Saint Louis '01 of Liliha) was a unanimous selection to the Ivy League first team. It was the second year in a row Lee was named to the first team.
Lee, who moved up to 133 pounds this year, won his third straight Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association title this season and finished fifth at the NCAA Championships.
Women's Wrestling
Several former Hawai'i high school wrestlers were ranked nationally in the top six of their weight classes as of April 16, according to TheMat.com. They are:
105.5 pounds, No. 4 Kristen Fujioka (Castle '01), a junior at Pacific (Forest Grove, Ore.)
112.25 pounds, No. 1 Debbi Sakai (Mililani '03), a freshman at Missouri Valley (Marshall, Mo.)
112.25 pounds, No. 2 Kapua Torres (Kahuku '03), a freshman at Pacific (Forest Grove, Ore.)
121 pounds, No. 5 Caylene Valdez (Moanalua '03), a freshman at Menlo College (Atherton, Calif.)
138.5 pounds, No. 5 Kuuini Johnson (Radford '03), a freshman at Lassen College (JC in Susanville, Calif.)
158.5 pounds, No. 6 Selina Perez (Baldwin '03), a freshman at Missouri Valley (Marshall, Mo.)
176 pounds, No. 1 Stephany Lee (Moanalua '02), a freshman at Missouri Valley (Marshall, Mo.)
Women's water polo
UC San Diego senior 2-meter driver Meris Bantilan-Smith (Kahuku '99 of Hale'iwa) scored four goals this past weekend in the Tritons' two wins including one over sixth-ranked University of Hawai'i.
Bantilan-Smith scored three goals against UC Irvine and one against Hawai'i.
Men's Tennis
UCLA junior Chris Lam (homeschooled from Kaimuki) won his singles match against California to help the Bruins earn a share of the Pac-10 title by beating the Bears. Lam defeated Tyler Browne of California, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, at No. 3 singles.
Signing
Kamehameha senior Anuhea Friel signed to play volleyball for the University of Delaware, according to her father, Tom Friel.
Friel said his 6-foot daughter played middle blocker at Kamehameha, but likely will switch to outside hitter at Delaware.
