She's not 6-feet-10, but Waipahu senior Tina Noga was like the Randy Johnson of the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's White Conference this season: a hard-throwing left-hander posting eye-popping strikeout totals.

But better than Johnson, Noga also could hit.

Noga's spectacular season ended with Waipahu winning the OIA's first White Conference championship, and Noga being named the division's Player of the Year.

Some examples of Noga's game stats:

One-hitter with 13 strikeouts vs. Radford; 2 for 4, home run.

One-hitter vs. Kalani, 13 strikeouts; 3 for 4, home run.

Two-hitter with 12 strikeouts vs. Waialua.

And most importantly, a four-hitter with 14 strikeouts in a 3-1 victory over Kalaheo for the White title.

Noga, whose uncles Falaniko, Pete and Al were standout football players at the University of Hawai'i, is joined on the OIA White All-Star first team by sister Kriss.

Kalaheo's Al Cofran was named Coach of the Year after leading the Mustangs to a 13-1 record in the regular season.
