Moloka'i Ranch chief to leave

Advertiser Staff and News Services

The man who oversaw Moloka
i Ranch’s transformation into an ecotourism attraction is leaving Hawaii to take a real estate development job in South Carolina.

James Mozley has been president and chief executive officer of Molokai Ranch for the past six years. He was with the company for nine years after serving as vice president and general manager of Amfac/JMB Hawaii’s Maui properties.

He joins Crescent Resources Inc. to help the company with its development of second-home and resort communities.

Scott Whiting will become Molokai Ranch’s new chief executive. Whiting has been the company’s vice president and in-house counsel for four years.

The change comes as Molokai Ranch’s owner, Singapore-based Brierley Investments Inc., is arranging for an outside partner to continue development of some of the company’s 56,000 acres on Molokai.

Mozley said he will remain a director of Molokai ranch and expects to make regular visits to Hawaii.
