Tomorrow

"Mind Your Manners," a class on dining etiquette conducted by Lori Wong, 5-8:30 p.m. at the Ka Ikena Dining Room at Kapiolani Community College. Participants will be served dinner and wine while brushing up on table skills. $50 fee. 734-9211.

Saturday

"A Royal Valentine Celebration," a cooking class featuring executive sous chefs Alfred Cabacungan and Curtis Ogata, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Menu includes sauteed menpachi, kÂm papillote and strawberries Romanoff. $50 per person, $75 for two. 931-8408.

"The Heritage of Cajun and Creole Cuisine," a class with executive chef Elmer Guzman, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at Sam Choy’s Diamond Head Restaurant. Sponsored by Kapiolani Community College; $25 fee, $35 with wine. 734-9211.

Tuesday

Auntie Aloha’s A Taste of Soy cooking demonstration, 7 p.m. at Pearl Country Club, sponsored by Nutrition for Life International. $5 fee; 836-4994.

Coming up

Feb. 16-17: Dean Fearing, "Father of Southwestern Cuisine" and executive chef of The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas, is the visiting guest chef at the Kea Lani Food and Wine Masters event. Hawaii chefs Dave "D.K." Kodama and Sean Kinoshita of Sansei Restaurant and Sushi Bar, Kapalua, Maui, and Honolulu, will share the stage of the open-air kitchen at Kea Lani Resort, Maui. Cooking demonstration and lunch each day, $45; signature dinners each evening, $98. 1-800-798-4552.
