Four local business leaders will join the roster of 39 present members of the HAWAI
I BUSINESS HALL OF FAME at induction ceremonies planned by JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT from 6 p.m. today at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel, Kauai and Maui ballrooms: EDWARD T. FUKUDA, president of Kandi’s Drive Inn Inc., Hilo; EDWARD J. HOGAN, chairman and chief executive officer of Pleasant Holidays; FRANCIS S. ODA, chairman and chief executive officer of Group 70 International; and (legacy laureate) CHINN HO, founder of Capital Investment Co. Inc. DAVID McCLAIN, dean of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, College of Business Administration, will be keynote speaker at the dinner and induction ceremony, beginning at 7 p.m. The RSVP deadline was Tuesday: 486-8806.

The AMERICAN MARKETING ASSOCIATION of Honolulu will join the HAWAII TECHNOLOGY TRADE ASSOCIATION in offering a two-part, breakfast and lunch seminar on issues facing Hawaii’s technical market. Two sessions — a breakfast discussion by tech company representatives looking at emerging technology in Hawaii and a luncheon session focusing on global opportunities and Internet technology developments — are planned 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Dole Cannery, Lanai Ballroom, second floor.
