Arson suspected in Waipahu apartment fire
A 36-year-old woman is suspected of starting an early morning fire today that gutted her fourth-floor Waipahu apartment. Three other units in the building were damaged. No injuries were reported.

Sub heard ship an hour earlier
The crew of the USS Greeneville identified a sonar contact — since determined to be the Ehime Maru — more than an hour before the submarine crashed into the Japanese fishing vessel during an emergency surfacing drill.
