The Hawaii Manufacturing Extension Project is offering a workshop for small- and medium-sized businesses in Hawaii, Jan. 29-30 in Honolulu, and Feb. 2 on Maui. The workshop: "Lean 101: Principles of Manufacturing," will examine some of the biggest issues facing manufacturers today, including how to cut overproduction, wait time and other inefficiencies. The Hawaii Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association will holds its monthly luncheon meeting Jan. 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hale Koa Hotel.
