Gabrielova, a 5-foot-6 junior from Bratislava, Slovakia, scored all of her season-high 23 points in the first half including six 3-pointers as Hawaii defeated UTEP in a Western Athletic Conference game at El Paso, Texas.
The Wahine improved to 11-3 overall and 2-1 in the WAC. UTEP is 6-10 and 2-3.
Gabrielova averaged 7.2 points and a team-leading 4.2 assists in 13 prior games. She hit 8-of-13 field goal attempts and 6-of-8 from behind the arc. The six 3-pointers tied a school record.
"We wanted to take what they gave us," Hawaii coach Vince Goo said. "We had a lot of open perimeter shots from the wings and corners."
Christen Roper, a 6-4 sophomore center, led the Wahine with eight rebounds and five blocks.
Hawaii will play Tulsa tomorrow at 2:45 p.m. (HST).
"We scored 40 against Tulsa last year at Tulsa," Goo cautioned. "It was the worst offensive output of the year."
