Gentry Homes promotes two

Advertiser Staff and News Services

Longtime Gentry Homes executive Norm Dyer has been promoted from president to chairman, and Robert W. Brant has been promoted to president, the Hawaii real estate development company announced yesterday.

Dyer, company president since 1995, will concentrate on development of Waiawa, a master-planned residential, commercial and golf course community planned for central Oahu, according to a company statement. He has been with the company since 1968.

Brant joined Gentry last year after leaving the Bank of Hawaii, where he oversaw commercial real estate loans. As president of Gentry, he will direct the company’s residential developments in Ewa. The company has built 4,600 homes in Ewa and has 4,000 more planned for the next 10 years.

Gentry Homes is the residential arm of the Gentry Co.s, which have developed more than $2 billion in real estate in Windward Oahu, Central Oahu and Ewa. Its other developments include the Waipio Business Park.
