JOHN "JOHNNY" AH SAN, 93, of Laupahoehoe, died Dec. 25, 2000. A retired forest ranger for the Division of Forestry, State Department of Land and Natural Resources. Survived by sisters, Violet Chung, Aileen Nakanelua and Lillian Nishioka; foster brother, Tad Suzuki. Private service held. Arrangements by Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home.

JAMES JIT YOUNG CHONG, 82, of Hilo, died Jan. 21, 2001. Born in Hilo. A marine electrician retired from Holmes and Narver Co. and a member of the Houselots Kumiai. Survived by brothers, William and Richard; sisters, Ah Qu Silva and Vivian Fukumoto. Private service held. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

R.C. "BUD" DUBOIS, 79, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Dec. 31, 2000. Born in Oklahoma City, Okla. A sales manager retired from Aloha Motors. Survived by wife, Natalie; sons, Ronald and Michael; granddaughters, Christine and Chelsea. Private memorial service to be held. Burial to be at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl, at a later date.

FRANCIS "KANA" KAMAKANAOKALANI FURTADO SR., 65, of Kekaha, Kauai, died Jan. 26, 2001. Born in Kekaha. A crane operator for Kekaha Sugar Plantation. Survived by wife, Marlene; daughters, Marla Shea, Rhonda Gaspar, June Aviguetero, Lola Aviguetero and Barbie Duarte; sons, Francis "Kana" Jr. and Frank; hanai daughter, Princess Kaiulani; brothers, Ezra, Kaleo and Lamont; sister, Odetta Nakaahiki; 34 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Overnight visitation from noon Thursday at the residence, 7994 Kekaha Road. Visitation also noon Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kekaha Ward; service 3 p.m. Burial at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery. Casual attire. Arrangements by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.

AUDREY JILL HALELOKE KELIIHOLOKAI, 51, of Federal Way, Wash., died Jan. 20, 2001. Born in Kahuku. A sales representative/reservationist with United Airlines. Survived by husband, Joe; son, Owen; daughters, Jill Rapozo, Tara Semo and Kierstin Carter; five grandchildren; brothers, Walter Gomez, Edmund Hiram, Eddyington Hiram and Lambert Hiram; sisters, Aloma Willis, Ipolani Thompson, Noreen Keahiolalo, Pinkie Crowe and Ermine Hernandez. FREDERICK FRANCIS "MICKEY" KENNEDY, 61, of Washington, D.C. died Jan. 9, 2001. Born in Honolulu. A graduate of the University of Hawaii and St. Louis College. Survived by wife, Jane; son, Eric; daughters, Tara and Lisa; mother, Eva; brother, Eugene; sisters, Evagene Diamond, Patricia Souza, Kathleen Kennedy and Margaret Kennedy. Mainland service held. Memorial scattering of ashes 10 a.m. Friday at Maunalua Bay, Hawaii Kai. Memorial donations to the American Heart Association.

PATRICIA M.Y. LENTZ also known as PATRICIA M.Y. LUM, 49, of Kaneohe, died Jan. 25, 2001. Born in Honolulu. An executive secretary with DFS-Hawaii. Survived by husband, Allen; sons, Eric, Shaun and Casey; parents, Harris and Lorraine Lum; brothers, Harrison, Sidney, Neal and Nathan. Visitation 9 a.m. Thursday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service 10:15 a.m. Inurnment 11 a.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.

LEILANI NASES, 59, of Hilo, died Jan. 23, 2001. Born in Hilo. A homemaker. Survived by companion, James Iopa; daughters, Vanessa Iopa, Helen Tobias, Mae-Ann Rodriguez and Iralynn Iopa; son, James Iopa II; brothers, Nelson Keliipio, Billy Bond and Jimmy Martin; sister, Helen McVitty; eight grandchildren. Inurnment 10 a.m. Wednesday at Alae Cemetery. No flowers. Casual attire.

HAROLD C.H. NHAM, 82, of Hilo, died Jan. 25, 2001. Born in Honokaa, Hawaii. A purchasing agent retired from Jas. W. Glover Ltd. Survived by wife, Yukimi; sons, Gary, George and Matthew; daughter, Vicky Uchiyama; brother, Arthur Nham; seven grandchildren. JAMES MORIO OKAWA, 74, of Mililani, died Dec. 20, 2000. Survived by wife, Dolores; sons, Danny, Patrick, Gary, Ken and Guy; daughter, Joy; stepchildren, Andrew, Daryl, Sylvia and Cheryl Ancog; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. INITASI POSINI, 43, of Mililani, died Jan. 19, 2001. Born in Samoa. Survived by parents, Posini Fuifui and Lagimaina Iosia. JOSE ANCHETA SALAZAR SR., 66, of Ewa Beach, died Jan. 20, 2001. Born in Cauayen, Isabella, Philippines. A security guard retired from Burns Security. Survived by wife, Maria; sons, Jose Jr. and Filomeno; daughters, Marcelita Hernandez and Maria Winters; nine grandchildren; brothers, Pelagio and Dominador; sister, Beatrice Castillo. ROBRIL "BOB" TINGCANG SR., 59, of Keaau, Hawaii, died Jan. 25, 2001. Born in Aiea. A U.S. Army veteran and sergeant retired from the Hawaii Army National Guard. Survived by son, Robril "Robbie" Jr.; daughters, Della Gutierrez and Janel Kamahele; brothers, Dyon Tingcang, Marciel Tingkang and Steve Tingkang; five grandchildren. SUN CHOY WONG SR., 78, of Honolulu, died Jan. 22, 2001. An airline mechanic retired from Hawaiian Airlines. Survived by wife, Julia; sons, Stephen, Carter and VonScott; daughters, Leilani Avilla, Wanda DePonte and Sundra Ornellas; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sisters, Grace Apao and Gladys Ormita. ROBERT H. YAMANE, 79, of Kahului, Maui, died Jan. 25, 2001. born in Haiku, Maui. Retired from Kahului Railroad Company as a machinist supervisor. A U.S. Army veteran. Survived by wife, Roseline; son, Rodney; daughter, Janyce; brothers, Kenneth, Henry and Francis; sisters, Sachie Gohara and Ethel Yamane; three grandchildren. Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Ballard Family Mortuary; service 7:30 p.m. Visitation also 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday; service 10 a.m. Burial 11 a.m. at Maui Veteran’s Cemetery. Aloha attire.
