Tip-Off
Pointer Sisters sub for Sedaka

By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Entertainment Editor

The Pointer Sisters are an eleventh-hour replacement for an ailing Neil Sedaka, in the "Bringing Back Boat Days" benefit, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. tomorrow at the DFS Galleria.

Sedaka was battling laryngitis last week and has been hospitalized for a heart problem, according to his doctors.

The event, a benefit for the Washington Place Foundation, also will feature singer Martin Nievera, pianist Ginny Tiu and performers from Tihati Productions.

Tickets: $250, includes the concert, an informal buffet and an open bar. The DFS Galleria also will be open and attendees will receive a 20 percent discount on purchases. Reservations: 523-8802.
