Mansho case must not end at campaign panel
Barring any outright criminal activity, Rene Mansho's tenure on the City Council remains primarily a matter between her and her constituents. But the Council can decide whether it is appropriate that she continue to hold positions of major responsibility, such as the budget chairmanship, if it turns out that she could not handle her own personal and political finances according to the law.

New military budget must emphasize people
Whether one supports the national missile defense system or not (and we have our doubts), it seems to make sense to heed the GAO and devote more of the defense budget today to the core of what makes the military successful: the men and women who serve.
