MUST-SEE: "Street Gangs: A Secret History," 6 p.m., History Channel: When immigrants reached America, some found joblessness and despair. Soon, the country had its first street gangs. In New York, politicians used the gangs as part of the election machinery. Los Angeles police looked the other way while soldiers went on an anti-gang rampage, stomping any Mexican American in a zoot suit. There are more stories here, many of them disturbing.
"Lawrence Welk: Milestones and Memories," 6 p.m., "Great Performances - My Favorite Broadway: Love Songs," 8:45 p.m., KHET: both special presentations are part of Hawaii Public Televisions March Pledge Drive, with a goal of $100,000.

"Stress Hurts! A Wake-Up Call for Women," 7 p.m., ABC: Trying to do everything at once, many women end up feeling stressed. What they may not know, Dr. Nancy Snyderman says, is that stress can contribute to other illnesses.The "Good Morning America" correspondent offers tips for reducing stress.
"Dangerous Minds" (1995), 8 p.m., ABC: In real life, an ex-Marine takes a job teaching in a tough, inner-city high school. The result was turned into this movie starring Michelle Pfeiffer.
