Kalaheo romps into semifinals of OIA tourney

Ikaika Alama-Francis and D.C. Daniels each scored 16 points, leading the Kalaheo Mustangs to a 69-42 victory over the Radford Rams last night in an Oahu Interscholastic Association tournament basketball game at Kalaheo’s gym.

Skyler Wilson contributed 11 points for Kalaheo, the top seed in the OIA East, which led 29-19 at halftime and took a 45-25 lead into the final quarter.

Kula Tanuvasa led Radford with 15.

The Mustangs will host Kahuku on Wednesday in one semifinal. West top seed Leilehua plays host to Mililani in the other semifinal. Both games tip off at 7:30 p.m.

LEILEHUA 71, KAILUA 46: Eric Marshall scored 19 points to lead three teammates in double figures as the host Mules rolled past the Surfriders and into the semifinals of the OIA tournament.

Garland Garitt added 13, Clifton Feliciano 12 and Joshua Jumawan 11 for the Mules, who took a 25-9 first-quarter lead and never looked back.

Koali Castillo led Kailua with 22 points.
