Fun House
A right dose of shake, rattle – and droll

By Amy Kuwaye
Special to The Advertiser

As a child, my son tended to be quiet and serious, and susceptible to asthma. One day when he was 4, he had a mild attack. So rather than taking him to preschool, I dropped him off at the baby sitter with his medication. After work, when I picked him up, he said: "Mom, Auntie forgot to shake the bottle before she gave me the medicine."

Then, he added: "But, you don’t have to worry, ’cause after I drank it, I jumped up and down."

Has your child said something funny? Do you have a humorous story about your spouse or another family member? Send it with your name, city and telephone number to: Fun House, Ohana Section, The Honolulu Advertiser, P.O. Box 3110, Honolulu, HI 96802; e-mail ohana@honoluluadvertiser.com; fax 535-8170. Preference is given to stories of 200 words or less.
