Brides, start your Palm Pilots.
The 11th annual Hawaii Bridal Expo begins on Friday, and organizers are promising it a useful starting point for wedding planning.
Many engagements happen between Dec. 15 and Valentines Day, said event organizer John Buckles: "Brides have got that ring on, and theyre motivated."
The fair runs 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. next Sunday at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Admission is $8.
Boasting more than 200 vendors promoting everything from wedding cakes to videography, the fair is geared primarily to couples planning summer and autumn weddings.
The highlight of the event is the daily fashion show, which showcases the latest in gown designs. (The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and 2 p.m. Saturday and next Sunday.)
And if that doesnt get your wedding wheels turning, theres also a trip to Fiji up for grabs. Think honeymoon.
