i, died Jan. 6, 2001. Born in Honokaa, Hawaii. A salesman retired from Hilo Motors and a parts manager for the former Von Hamm Young. Survived by wife, Cecilia; son, Victor; daughters, Cecilia "Lei" Yamada and Patricia "Irma" Farinas; brothers, Ah Wing and Anthony; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Private service held. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary, Hilo.

RESTITUTO "DAN" BEJASA GALLARDE, 80, of Texas, formerly of Waipahu, died Jan. 8, 2001. Born in Cebu, Philippines. Retired from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Shop 72 as a rigger. Survived by wife, Elisa; daughters, Priscilla and Regina Gallarde, Vivian Yost; sons, Roger, John, Patrick, Cedric and Brian; sister, Helen Estrella; brothers, John, Paul and Gerado; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. IRA KAMAHALO HUTCHINSON, 89, of Honolulu, died Jan. 9, 2001. A retired state of Hawaii land appraiser. Survived by son, Edson; daughters, Darlene Hutchinson and Lisa Schienle; four grandchildren; brothers, Edson and Alonzo; sisters, Clara Apoliona and Charlotte Webster. Visitation 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oahu Cemetery chapel. Burial to follow at Oahu Cemetery. Arrangements by Borthwick Mortuary.

WILLIAM LEE HUTCHINSON, 82, of Honolulu, died Jan. 1, 2001. Born in Honolulu. A retired police officer and brother of the late Ira Kamahalo Hutchinson. Survived by wife, Mary Ann; sons, Howard and William Jr.; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; brothers Lewis and Alonzo; sisters, Clara Apoliona and Charlotte Webster. Private service held. Arrangements by Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary.

THEODORE KAUILA "TED" JACOBSON, 76, of Glendale, Calif., died Jan. 4, 2001. Born in Honolulu. A retired Southern California apartment manager. Survived by wife, Irene; daughters, Alberta Jacobs, Faye Lee, Arleen Wilcox and Adeline Nascimento; son, Theodore Jr.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Burial and service to be held 11 a.m. tomorrow at Rosehill Mortuary in California.

JAMES TIMOTHY JENKINS, 45, of Hawaiian Ocean View Estates, died Jan. 8, 2001. Born in Walnut Creek, Calif. A carpenter with Carpenters Union Local 745. Survived by son, James Jr.; mother, Profitiza; brothers, Hershall, Frank and Robert; sisters, Gladios Hoagland, Josephine Jenkins and Maria Cardoza. Visitation 9 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kailua-Kona; service 9:30 a.m. Burial at the church cemetery. No flowers. Casual attire. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary, Kona.

ELEANOR ATSUKO LIKELIO, 69, of Honolulu, died Dec. 15, 2000. A retired bus driver assistant. Survived by sons, Randal Shintani, Walden Shintani and Solomon III; daughter, Diane Shimabukuro; four grandchildren; brother, Edward Shiraki; sisters, Violet Kimura, Florence Taira and Geraldine Iida. ROBERT MASAO MAHIAI MAKALII SR., 70, of Waimanalo, died Jan. 4, 2001. Born in Honolulu. Retired from Hawaiian Cement and the former bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Waimanalo Ward. Survived by wife, Lorraine; sons, Robert Jr. and Wilfred Burns Jr.; daughters, Raene Chong, Dory Hart, Sharon Makalii, Janice Cantu, Shirley Ah Yat and Cindy Yamamoto; sisters, Kuulei Whitford and Leinaala Kila; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. FRANK MARTIN, 81, of San Antonio, Texas, died Jan. 8, 2001. Born in Waipunalei, Hawaii. Retired from Pearl Harbor. Survived by wife, Odelmira "Nina"; sons, Gary Martin and Victor De Leon; daughters, Dianne, Debbie, Paula, Julie, Claudia and Maxine; 13 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; brothers, George, John and Anthony; sisters, Patsy Markiwitz, Victoria Curtis, Annette Goddard, Isabel Chapman and Helen Martin. DAI EDWARD EHUKAI MINER, 42, of Hawi, Hawaii, died Jan. 9, 2001. Born in Kaneohe. A 1978 Waianae High School graduate who worked at Big Way in Waianae and formerly at Maunalani Bay Resort. Survived by son, Kaehukailii; mother, Evelyn "Ivy" Soares; sisters, Minerva Miner Raymond and Noel Miner Kawaa; brothers, James and Clade. Visitation 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at House of Prayer, 2062 S. SALVADOR D. "SAL" MANANDIC, 74, of Sacramento, Calif., died Dec. 19, 2000. Born in Hawaii. A U.S. Air Force veteran and electronic mechanic helper. Survived by wife Hilda; children, Maria Bastin, Rebecca Manandic and Jennifer Manandic; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Marie Braun, Delores Salcedo, Helen Rellin, Florence Carios; and brothers Alexander Manandic and Jose Manandic. Memorial service 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

EUSEBIA RAQUEPO RARALLO, 88, of Waipahu, died Jan. 2, 2001. Born in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. JOHN HENRY SMITH, 75, of Honolulu, died Jan. 10, 2001. Born in Honolulu. Survived by sons, Edmund and Keoki; daughter, Rorie Ryan. Visitation 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Diamond Head Mortuary; service 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Diamond Head Memorial Park. A member of the Elks Club #616 and a planner retired from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.

ALFRED PASCUA VILLANUEVA, 72, of Honolulu, died Jan. 10, 2001. Born in Laoag, Philippines. A bookkeeper retired from Makaala, Inc. Survived by wife, Leticia; sons, Alfredo Jr., Nelson and Ariel; daughters, Alicia Yost, Vilma Sierk, Evelyn Kuhn and Cynthia Villanueva; 11 grandchildren; brother, Bernaldo Villanueva, Carlos and Jose Padilla, Manuel, Miguel, Inigo and Alan Josue; sister, Corazon Tolentino, Rosalina Takis, Rosita Daoang and Gloria Trogdon.
