BARBARA KEONAONA ANDRADE, 64, of Kihei, Maui, died Jan. 20, 2001. The owner of a travel agency who also worked as a waitress at Maui Lu. Survived by husband, Edwin; son, Zachary; daughters, Alicia Cordeiro and Edlynn Kaupe; brothers, Patrick Vares, Vernon Bal, Mervin Bal, Clayton Bal and Neil Bal; sisters, Noreen Wales and Lona Moniz; seven grandchildren. Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Mass 7:30 p.m. Lei accepted but no flowers otherwise. Casual attire. Arrangements by Ballard Family Mortuary.

DR. JOHN E. BARDACH, 85, of Honolulu, died Jan. 24, 2001. Born in Austria. A marine biologist who was an aquaculture pioneer and professor at University of Hawaii-Manoa and the East-West Center. Survived by sister, Helena Ripper; nephew, Peter Ripper. Memorial service 11 a.m. Monday at Borthwick Mortuary.

ANDREW "ANDY" JOSEPH BROWN JR., 66, of Waianae, died Jan. 25, 2001. Born in Albany, Calif. A building manager of the Hawaiian Princess in Makaha. Survived by wife, Angela; sons, Richard Drew "Rick" and Andrew Joseph II "Jody"; two grandchildren. Service at a later date. Arrangements by Ultimate Cremation Services of Hawaii.

FREDERICK "BULLY" CAMBONGA, 35, of Dededo, Guam, died Jan. 16, 2001. Born in Wahiawa. Survived by wife, Noe; son, KaleoOkalani; father, Frederick; mother, Lydia Lunasco; father, Les Lunasco; grandmother, Nancy Roylo; brothers, Chad Cambonga, Lenny, Lane and Travis Lunasco; sisters, Corinne Cambonga and Debra Canne. ERNEST BERTRAM "BERT" DARR, 80, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Jan. 21, 2001. Born in San Francisco. Employed for years by The Honolulu Advertiser and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin; former television editor in charge of "Hawaiian Life," later "Aloha Magazine"; later a self-employed photo engraver. Survived by wife, Hilda; brother, Keneth; sons, Gerald and Gregory; four stepchildren; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Private service held at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.

GEORGE DeMOTTA, 91, died Nov. 30, 2000, in Port Orchard, Wash. A longtime resident of Kailua; lifetime member of the Punchbowl Holy Ghost Society and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Survived by daughter, Mary Jane Correa; grandchildren, Jon Correa and Nicole Bynum; four great-grandchildren. Burial held at Hawaiian Memorial Park.

Cmdr. STANLEY WATSON DOHRER, 78, of Lakeland, Tenn., died Dec. 24, 2000. A retired Navy commander. Survived by wife, Gladys; daughters, Joanne Hauge and Jeannette Woods; sister, Joyne Haden; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Service 2 p.m. Wednesday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.

DANNY GALINGAN, 43, of Lihue, Kauai, died Jan. 22, 2001. Born in Tayug, Pangasinan, Philippines. A Kauai Community College accountant. Survived by mother, Epefania; sisters, Wilma Raval and Lolita Mabini. Visitation 8 a.m. next Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mass 10 a.m.; burial to follow at the Kauai Memorial Garden. JAYNE SKELTON GIBSON, 78, of Kaneohe, died Jan. 15, 2001. Survived by husband, William Jr.; son, William III; daughter, Helen Ahn; a granddaughter; brother, Arthur Skelton Jr.; sister, Pauline Cummings. Private service held. Arrangements by Borthwick Mortuary.

SHARLEEN KIMIKO ISHIZAKI, 50, of Mililani, died Jan. 22, 2001. Born in Honolulu. A member of Shinyo-En Hawaii; student at Fashion Center Sewing School. Survived by husband, Craig; son, Kelsey; daughter, Cara; mother, Hifumi Nakamura; brothers, Roy and Theodore Nakamura; sister, Alice Funasaki. Memorial service 6:30 p.m. Monday at Mililani Memorial Park makai chapel. Casual attire.

MISAO KAYA, 95, of Wailuku, Maui, died Jan. 22, 2001. Born in Wailuku. A retired Maui Memorial Medical Center housekeeper. Survived by sons, Miyoji, Masanori, Sumito, Hideo and Allen; daughters, Margaret Ripley and Nancy Endo; 26 grandchildren; brothers, Toshimi and Kengo. Private service held. The burial of ARCHIE KENNISON JR., 84, who died Jan. 4, 2001, will held 10 a.m. Monday at Schofield Post Cemetery. Based on information from the mortuary, a recent obituary was incorrect.

HARUE KUBO, 81, of Kahului, Maui, died Jan. 25, 2001. Born in Puunene, Maui. A former Holy Rosary Church custodian. Survived by sons, Kenneth, Ronald, Allan, Dennis and Douglas; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Natsue Oki. CALVIN KALANI LOO, 49, of Honolulu, died Jan. 16, 2001. A security guard for Outrigger Hotels and the University of Hawaii; founder of Kanak’s Softball Team. ELMA IRENE MILLER, 79, of Waipahu, died Jan. 20, 2001. Born in Stubinville, Ohio. A homemaker. Survived by daughter, Sheila Reid; granddaughter, Lisa Shimojo. MEW YUN CHUN MOCK, 95, of Kaneohe, died Jan. 21, 2001. A homemaker. Dr. WILLIAM KHOURY NAJJAR, 77, of Grand Rapids, Mich., died Jan. 23, 2001. Born in Lebanon. An inventor of preventive dental care products; founder of Janar Company and Ranir D.C.P. of Grand Rapids, Mich. Survived by wife, Mary Ann. Visitation 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at Diamond Head Memorial Park Mortuary. Service to be held Friday in Grand Rapids, Mich. No flowers. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association. ELSIE KIKUNO ODAGIRI, 80, of Kaneohe, died Jan. 19, 2001. Born in Hilo, Hawaii. A retired seamstress. Survived by husband, Larry; sons, Dennis and Bradley; daughters, Suanne Miyata; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Francis Tachiyama. HARRY TADASHI ONO, 67, of Lincoln, Neb., died Dec. 18, 2000. Born in Honolulu. Retired as an educator with the state Department of Education. Survived by wife, Kathryn; sons, Byron and Kyle; daughter, Kimberly; three grandchildren; brother, Stanley; sisters, Frances Matsumoto, Ruth Fujioka and Betty Takamura; sister-in-law, Eiko Ono. Service held in Nebraska. Burial to be at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

JOHN PERIO, 70, of Kahaluu, died Jan. 24, 2001. Born in Honolulu. A member of Honolulu Elks #616. Survived by wife, SueAnn; sons, Danny and John; daughters, Malia Gross, Kiinani Perio and Kuuipo Morris; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Alfred; sister, Elizabeth Andrade. Visitation 6 p.m. Tuesday at Ordenstein’s Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, service 7 p.m. Leis only. Casual attire.

ROBERT C. "BOB" SCHWALLIE, 59, of Orlando, Fla., died Jan. 13, 2001. Born in Honolulu. A retired telecommunication engineer who grew up in Kailua and attended Punahou School. Survived by wife, Mimi; daughter, Catherine; brother, Bill; sister, Maggie Wolter. Mainland service and arrangements.

WALTER ELGER WATSON, 68, of Hilo, Hawaii, died Jan. 22. 2001. Born in Dexter, Minn. Retired as a Boeing Corp. electrical engineer. Survived by wife, Rose; sister, Katherine Wirta. Graveside service 11 a.m. Thursday at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary-Hilo.
