GENOVEVA SEVILLA CEREZO, 97, of Waialua, died March 1, 2001. Born in Mangatarem, Pangasinan, Philippines. Survived by son, Pedro; daughters, Marina Cerez, Maria Vallamoja and Carmelita Salinas; sister, Pacencia Sevilla; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter. BENJAMIN "BEN" CORPUZ DOMINGO, 74, of Waipahu, died March 5, 2001. Born in Barangay 3, Laoag City, Philippines. Retired from the Philippine Air Force. Survived by wife, Nicetas; sons, Edwin and Benjamin II; daughter, Eden; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Genaro and Loreto; sisters, Rufina Tabali, Carolina Reyes, Grace Toribio, Jacinta Santiago and Vickie Gapusan. JULIA R. EBERLE, 83, of Honolulu, died March 5, 2001. Born in Kahuku. A homemaker. Survived by son, Jack Christopher; daughter, Julia Davis; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Louis Rodrigues. Service 6 p.m. Tuesday at Oahu Cemetery chapel. Casual attire. KITARU HIROE, 85, of Wahiawa, died March 1, 2001. Born in Waialua. Retired from Dole Pineapple Co. Survived by wife, Hanako "Doris"; sons, Garrick and Russell; daughters, Gail Takeuchi and Carol Segawa; three grandsons; sister, Ethel Tamate. CLARENCE VERNARD HODGES, 86, died March 6, 2001. Born in Terry, S.D. A retired Kailua-Kona urologist and professor of surgery at the University of Hawaii and University of Oregon medical schools, formerly with Straub Clinic, Tripler Army Medical Center and Kuakini Hospital. A flight surgeon during World War II and past president of the American Board of Urology. Survived by wife, Victoria; son, Richard; a grandchild. Services to be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home.

MUSA "SIS" HOGAN, 76, of Honolulu, died March 6, 2001. Born in Salisbury, N.C. a volunteer with the Queen’s Medical Center and Queen’s Auxiliary. Survived by daughter, Anne; two grandchildren. Memorial service11 a.m. Monday at Holy Nativity Church in üina Haina; inurnment 3 p.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. No flowers. Aloha attire. GARRELD R. "GARRY" JACOBS, 56, of Hilo, Hawaii, died Jan. 31, 2001. Born in San Francisco. A high school and Hawaii County counselor and semi-retired electrician. Survived by parents, Jesse and Kay Jacobs; brother, Terry. Memorial service to be held in Hilo; ashes to be scattered on Hilo Bay. Donations to charity.

HOWARD KELIIKAHALOA KAOPUIKI JR., 79, of Kaneohe, died March 1, 2001. Born in Honolulu. Retired after 33 years with Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard as a supervisor in the hull and mechanical department; also a salesman with City Mill. Survived by wife, Elaine; son, Byron; daughters, Debra Ono and Donna Schaumburg; brother, Donald; sisters, Thelma Yoshitomi and Anita Tyau; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Visitation 6 p.m. Thursday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, service 7 p.m. Visitation also 8 a.m. Friday; service 10:15 a.m.; burial 11 a.m. Aloha attire or baseball uniforms. SATOME MANEKI, 84, of Pasadena, Calif., died Feb. 27, 2001. Born in Ka¬mana, Hawaii. Former police officer with Honolulu Police Department; also an entrepreneur who moved his family to Brazil and, later, a grocer and restaurateur in Glendale, Calif. Survived by three children and four grandchildren.

BERNICE EVELYN OLSON, 88, of Kailua, died March 6, 2001. Born in Omaha, Neb. An active member of Kailua Senior Citizens and life member of the Los Angeles International Fern Society. Survived by sons, Lyndon and Dale; daughters, Rozanne Chinn, Gloria and Linda Olson; two granddaughters; sister, Dorothy Hanson. No service.

MURVIN "PAT" PATRICKS, of Wailua Houselots, Kauai, died March 7, 2001. Born in LaGrande, Ore. A retired inventory control manager. Survived by wife, Janice; daughters, Lonna, Kathy and Karri; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Memorial service noon at the far north end of Lydgate Beach Park.; reception to follow at Kamalani Playground. Casual attire. Arrangements by Garden Island Mortuary.

WILFRED LAURETA RETUTAL, 43, of Honolulu, died Feb. 28, 2001. Survived by daughter, Ashley; mother, Lolita Retutal; father, Mamerto Semana; brothers, James and Edwin Retutal; sister, Shirley Nevin. Survived by husband, Estanislao "ET"; sons, Estan Jr. and Jayson; mother, Rufina Cortez; brothers, Alfredo "Boy" Reynon, Vincent, and Ferdinand Cortez; sisters, Filipinas Lucas and Remedios Chan. GEORGE SANTOS, 84, of Lahaina, Maui, died March 3, 2001. Born in Kaupakalua, Maui. Survived by sons, Nelson and Robert; daughter, Gerald Lee; companion, Agnes Kuhl; brother, Manuel; sister, Flora Ricker; stepsisters, Francis Kakazu and Clarissa Pacheco. THERESA SANTOS, 98, of Honolulu, died March 2, 2001. Born in Lawai, Kauai. Survived by daughters, Theresa Younger, Margaret Pocock, Dorothy Anderson, Eleanor Lyons and Ella Santos; sons, Joseph Farias and Richard Racoma; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren. STELLA SHIZUE SUZUKI, 89, of Kahuku, died March 6, 2001. Born in Aiea. Retired as a cafeteria worker/salad maker for Church College of Hawaii. Survived by sons, Gerald, Norman, Edwin and Ken; daughters, Beatrice Nakashima, Elaine Won, Louise Sells and Dorene Payton; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; brothers, George and Donald Nishimura; sister, Fusae Kamitono. WESLEY THOMAS VALENTINO, 66, of Honolulu, died March 2, 2001. Born in New York. The retired owner of Hawaiian TV Sales and Repair. Survived by daughters, Linda Verrill and Tracy Sulkin; a grandson; companion, Betty Takemoto; brother, Barry Sulkin. Private service held. Arrangements by Hosoi Garden Mortuary.

HENRY MASASHI WATANABE, 72, of Pearl City, died March 6, 2001. Born in Wailuku, Maui. A master sergeant retired from the Air Force; a counselor with the Department of Education. Survived by wife, Jane; sons, Eric and Hank Jr.; daughter, Jenny Silva; nine grandchildren; brothers, Roland, Stanley and Alan; sister, Margaret Yamane. Private scattering of ashes on Maui. No flowers. Arrangements by Ultimate Cremation Services of Hawaii.

MASAYE "GWEN" YAZAWA, 84, of Honolulu, died March 2, 2001. Survivedby three great-grandchildren, among other relatives. Service 6 p.m. Monday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Based on information provided by the mortuary, a recent obituary was incorrect.
