Couple indicted in sexual assault

A Kapolei couple was indicted by the Oahu grand jury this week in a 17-count indictment charging them with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl over a six-month period.

Victor Flores, 37, was charged with eight counts of first-degree sexual assault and lesser sex charges. Celeste Flores, 36, who is nine months pregnant, was charged with first- and third-degree sexual assault and three counts of accomplice to sexual assault in the first degree, according to authorities.

Police said Celeste Flores sometimes directed the sexual activity between her husband and the girl.

Both are being held on $250,000 bail. Police say they learned of the alleged abuse through school officials. The indictment accuses the couple of engaging in sex acts with the teen between July 22 and the end of January.

The couple’s three children were taken into protective custody.
