We would like to send our sympathy to the families of the young men who were killed last Wednesday in the tragic helicopter crash. We know that it must hurt so much, but how proud you must be of them as well. They were ready to step up and serve our country willingly and with great honor, and for that we will surely be everlastingly grateful.
Our son was a Marine based at Kaneohe Bay for the past four years. We spent time visiting his wife and him on the base different times, and thus, feel like a part of the military family over there. We hurt with you and for you.
Our hearts and our prayers go out to everyone on the base.

Today, Tomorrow & Always ~ Tim and Gina Knight
Today we are saddened for the dear loss of Tim,
God took him to Heaven to be with him.
Sometimes things don’t always quite seem clear,
Why God would take someone so dear.
It seems Tim was here for just a short while,
Even though he had traveled many a mile.
Not so long ago Tim and Gina were joined together,
To laugh and love and share their lives forever.
The short time Tim shared was blessed beyond joy,
To have a loving with and a baby bundle named Chloe.
Tomorrow will come and one day we will know,
The blessings the Lord has for the seed he did sow.
Tim paid the ultimate sacrifice by giving his life,
So we all can be free, not suffer or have strife.
For freedom has certainly been a hard price to pay,
So we can all wake up safely and face a new day.
Like eagles wings soaring through the air,
Tim spread his wings and went over there.
He honored his country and went to war,
To help stop evil forevermore.
One day we will see Tim in Heaven above,
And we will understand the depth of God’s love.
For God gave up his only begotten son for you and I
So all who accept would be with him and not die.
God lifted Tim up in his loving care,
To a glorious home one day we will share.
Today is a new beginning, tomorrow is not here,
Always remember God holds us all dear.

There are no words that can express the sacrifice these men have made for each and every one of us here in America. To say these men are heroes is true beyond a shadow of doubt. My heart and sympathy goes out to each and every family. I pray for all of you has you walk down a very sad and terrible road in your son/husband giving up his life for freedom. No greater sacrifice can a person make than to give his life for others to live in freedom. I pray that freedom will come to Iraq so these brave men and others like them will not have given their lives in vain. God bless all the families touched by this tragic loss of life.

Let me first start this humble message by saying "The American Men and Women in Uniform and their civilian counterparts" that have died in support of bringing freedom to Iraq, have not died in vain. Their spirits are now with the Creator of Heaven, Earth, and the Universe, where there is no more wars to be fought, no more evil to do battle with. Only peace, love, and humility.
In conclusion, The fighting warrior spirit of the American Forces will never die or be defeated, but it lives forever in the hearts, minds, and spirits of all Americans who cherish freedom if life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
God Bless the fallen warriors, May your souls Rest In Peace for Eternity.

Tim Gibson (Timmy) was quite possibly the most kindhearted individual I was blessed to know. He never judged, never spoke and unkind word, and never put anyone down. Even when things in his personal life did not seem fair, his loving attitude never crumbled. Though he probably never knew it, he meant more to me than I ever showed. A friend of 3 years, he will not be forgotten. My only hope is that his family be proud of what a truly brave, genuine and kind man they raised. God bless him and may no one else suffer such a loss.

It is very painful to know these heroic and brave men died for our country. To me, they are true heroes. I feel like their willingness to still do the right thing in the face of withering media hostility and relentless negativity from so many quarters is what makes them great Americans. They die honorably fighting the good fight. Many of our soldiers died creating stable and free societies for the people of Germany, Japan and South Korea. With so much more cynicism today, it is all the more inspiring to see that people of my generation will still put it all on the line -voluntarily- to transform a brutal tryanny into a stable and free society. God bless the families of these soldiers. These men died with honor and the eyes of history will give their lives the significance they deserve.

To my fallen Brothers,
Go with God and may he bless you and your loved ones. You have left an imprint on the face of this earth that shall live on in the freedom of those you have liberated and protected. For this, we owe you our gratitude, you will not be forgotten.
To the families,
Words cannot express my sorrow and feeling of loss your your loved ones. Our Corps has been diminished by this tragedy, and so have we, as a Nation. I have not felt this way since the loss of my Brothers in October 1983.
They were Warriors. Heros. Marines.

I do not know any of you personally, but as I heard the tragic news of your loss, I am compelled to send my condolences to all the families. My heart is broken for your loss as I have a son also and I would be devastated if I were to lose him. I only hope that you get through this tradegy knowing that others like myself are with you in prayers and support.

I have a husband stationed at Schofield Barracks and currently in Iraq. I know the feeling of being scared everyday and waiting to hear from them to make sure that they are okay. To loose them is something that I have not yet experienced and hope not to. I can imagine your hurt and just remember they are always with you in your heart. All the soldiers over there have died doing what they love to do. Sorry for you loss and my prayers are with you.

I was so sorry to hear of the tragedy that took so many lives in Iraq.
The mention of Kanehoe and Kailua that I heard on NPR this morning brought back a rush of memories of spending time with Navy and Marines personnel in the area in the 1980's. It was a wonderful time in my life.
My condolences to the family and friends of the people lost.
