The Hawai
i Employers Council announced a number of promotions and organizational changes:

Peter E. Robb was promoted to vice president and director of human resources and research; Karen Y. Honma was promoted to vice president and director of membership development; Alan K. Yasuda is now treasurer and chief financial officer; Constance A. Hastert was promoted to corporate secretary and director of government affairs/communications; and Sonja O. Tyau was promoted to the new position of director of information and administrative services.

The organizational changes were prompted by the retirement of Betty F. Hirozawa, vice president and secretary/treasurer, who worked at the Hawaii Employers Council for almost 50 years.

Tracie K. Custino, John T. Medlock and Joann Minium were recently promoted at Martin & MacArthur, wholesale distributor of picture framing supplies, exotic island woods and producer of handcrafted koa furniture and Hawaiian gifts and accessories on Oahu and Maui. Custino was promoted to controller after joining the company just over a year ago as an accountant. Medlock is now marketing director for the company’s custom furniture manufacturing, retail and distribution divisions. He was previously senior account executive at Ogilvy & Mather. Minium was promoted to manager of the company’s new store in The Shops at Wailea on Maui. He started at Martin & MacArthur two years ago and was previously assistant manager for the company’s Whaleres Village store.

Island Insurance has promoted Judith Boyle Chun to chief financial officer. Chun joined the company earlier this year as vice president of human resources, internal audit and risk management. Prior to joining Island Insurance, she served as vice president of human resources, risk management and administration at C. Brewer & Co.

Michael Sai has been hired as distribution center manager for the Louis Vuitton Group, which includes Louis Vuitton, Loewe and Celeine stores on Oahu and Maui. Sai will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the distribution center. He previously worked at Pacific American Lumber.

Aston Hotels and Resorts Hawaii has promoted Linda Nagasako to assistant vice president of the U.S./international wholesale department. Nagasako has been with Aston 13 years, serving in both the sales and marketing departments. She was had been senior director of the department.

Noreen Yamamoto has joined Graham Builders Inc. as a consultant in the company’s public relations/sales and marketing division. She will serve as a liaison between homeowners and the general contracting firm.

Ronald Oi has joined The Mortgage Group as a specialist in commercial financing. Oi has more than 40 years experience in Hawaii’s banking industry, primarily as an executive in business banking relations and commercial lending.

Servco Pacific Inc. recently announced that David Greaves has been appointed group vice president and operations manager for the company’s direct sales operations — Servco Integrated Office Technology and Education Works. In this position, he will oversee operations for both divisions.

ALTRES Global Business Services has named Tim Alex director of marketing. His responsibilities include overseeing all company staffing and work force marketing and advertising activities in Hawaii. He will also coordinate marketing and advertising activities for the company’s Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix and Utah service centers.
